GUJARATI DAL

Ingredients
NESTLÉ EVERYDAY Ghee
1 tbsp
Arhar Dal
200 g
Water
2 cup (300 ml)+ 1 cup (150 ml)
Turmeric powder
½ tsp
Salt
1 tsp
Musatard seeds
½ tsp
Jeera
½ tsp
Garlic
2 cloves, finely chopped
Green chillies
2, finely chopped
Hing
¼ tsp
Whole red chillies
2
Curry leaves
10
Red chilli powder
½ tsp
Sugar
1 tbsp
Raw mango powder
1 tbsp
Method
1.  Soak the dal in 2 cups of water for 15 minutes. Add turmeric powder and salt to the dal and pressure-cook it till 3 whistles.
2.  Heat ghee in a fry pan, splutter mustard seeds & jeera. Add garlic, green chillies, hing, whole red chillies, curry leaves and then sauté for 1minute, add red chilli powder in the end.
3.  Pour this over the cooked dal and then add 1 cup water, sugar, raw mango powder and mix it well. Cook for 2 minutes and serve hot with baffle.
Tips
For a complete Gujrati meal, serve Gujrati Dal with Baffle , Gujrati Aloo ,Gujrati Dal, Malwa Kadi and Malwa Subz Pulao.
